Can we trust the Bible Codes?

After reading the news early this morning finding that Taiwan also had an Earthquake of 6.4? I wondered what the Bible codes had to say about this.
So I checked the books of Michael Drosnin's The Bible Code 1 and 2.
Well I did not find anything.
What I found was that Drosnin's book only made predictions to 2006 with Atomic Holocaust which included Arafat, Sharon and Bush.
We are now in 2010 and these things were proven beyond a reasonable doubt as unfulfilled.
Yet on November 11, 2004 Yassir Arafat died of strange illness.
On January 4 , 2006 Ariel Sharon was induced into a coma and been in that state since.
George Bush was encoded with them yet nothing happened.
This makes the Bible codes dubious to say the least.
Drosnin also places the end of day in 2006 or the Hebrew year 5766 yet here we are in 2010 and the Bible Codes not very reliable again.
Smallpox was encoded with 2005, anybody heard about smallpox during the past 5 years?
I found that Drosnin wrote these things for the money because these type of books sell alot.
Now many people sits with a "reliable" book of codes that means nothing.
If these Bible codes were so accurate why don't they tell us who the Antichrist will be be and when he Will come that we can get out of the way in time?
The answer is because they do9 not know, they take chances and they manipulate the system in order to draw attention and sell books full of manipulated dates and info.
Thus far Drosnin's book is very questionable and doubt full that anything in it is reliable.
History told us that the only reliable source that we have is the Bible straight forward worth all of tomorrow's news in it, yet we want to look at these Bible codes and feel like they are the "hidden codes" for the future.

Unless Michael Drosnin and his friends can proof this statement wrong I will not recommend any further material from this man.
The word of God is Clear and we have to read it as it is, why to interpret it when it is saying what you read. No need to interpret it is quite clear because once you start reading this that are not there then you play with the fire of strange doctrines.
